Magmatic est une lampe à poser, de grande taille, en acier et béton de pouzzolane.
Un objet à la frontière entre sculpture et fonctionnalité.
Une énorme ampoule, intégrée à la forme, est source de lumière.
C'est une lampe emblématique de mon savoir-faire original d'association d'acier et de béton.
L'ensemble de la forme de cette lampe est guidé par une longue spirale d'acier, libre et aérienne. Une matrice de béton vient la figer, mais aussi la révéler. La ligne de fer se libère du béton, devenant cage de lumière.
Le passage du plein au vide se fait de manière fluide, en un seul geste sculptural.
L'objet se veut simple, certains diraient brutal. De la mise en oeuvre découle la forme. Les propriétés intrinsèques des matériaux sont exploitées : ductilité, puissance et éclat de l'acier / docilité, force et grain du béton.
Le béton est tout en courbes, souple, sombre et tendu. Du béton ?
Oui, grâce à mon procédé original de moule souple. Ce béton en particulier est chargé de pouzzolane rouge, à l'origine du nom de la lampe.

Magmatic is a large table lamp made of steel and pozzolan concrete.

A huge bulb, integrated into the shape, is a source of light.
It is a lamp emblematic of my original know-how of association of steel and concrete.
The whole shape of this lamp is guided by a long spiral of steel, free and aerial. A matrix of concrete comes to freeze it, but also to reveal it. The iron line is released from concrete, becoming a cage of light.
The transition from full to empty is done in a fluid way, in a single sculptural gesture.
The object is simple, some would say brutal. From the implementation follows the form. The intrinsic properties of materials are exploited: ductility, power and brightness of steel / docility, strength and grain of concrete.
The concrete is curvaceous, supple, dark and taut. Concrete ? Yes, thanks to my original flexible mold process. This concrete in particular is loaded with red pozzolan, at the origin of the name of the lamp.
